Post-apocalyptic Eden
Sun illuminates brighter in the day,
cacti protrude through walls and windows
Silent streets, no humans just plants, leaves rustle in the wind
Wildflowers push through cracks,
cities fill with oxygenated air At night,
darkness covers the colourful streets
The plants compete for sunshine, they grow fast Neon sign-posts flickers to its death, pavements empty of people
The rapid movements of travelling clouds,
the slow expansion of moss and weed
Roots extend beyond usual parameters, ivy creeps up walls
Winding all the way around cables in this humid, hot climate
New canopies cover the sky
